Happy Birthday Alyssa

Alyssa is 1 TODAY!  Happy Birthday my Little Sweet Pea.  Alyssa is just a little Angel!!  Just so adorable.. so Schweeet..!  I can’t believe a year has come and gone.. wow..

Here are a few recent photos of her.

Here is the cute card i made Alyssa for her Birthday:

elephant

I’ve done my elephant a bit different then Heidi’s but i thought i’d share with you all the punches i used to create him.  I’ve had a lot of you ask me for the instructions on how to create the tent from this card.  This brilliant card was created by Heidi.  She has done up an instruction sheet on how to create the tent: Circus Card Tutorial.  You can visit her blog for further information and to email her if you have any further questions.  Heidi is a member of my online punch classes and continues to WOW us with her creativity!  I’ve been very blessed to meet so many talented stampers over the last few months and i’m really impressed with all the cards/projects uploaded to the gallery so far!  They are so very inspiring.  I hope you continue to enjoy Punch Happy and my next punch class : )

Supplies - Card Base: Certain Celery, Bella Rose DSP (retired), Certain Celery punched out using the Photo Corner Punch, Rich Regal Brads, Certain Celery for the grass punched with Boho Blossom Punch, Bitty Birthday stamp set for the greeting.

Elephant: All Pieces are Going Grey except the toenails are Basic Black.  Butterfly Punch for Ears; 1 3/8″ Circle for the Head, 1 3/4″ Circle for the Body, the legs are done with the My Way Punch, i used the middle arrow, for the Toenails i used the ends of the Trio Flowers.  For the Trunk i punched the gray cardstock with the Large Oval Punch and then went back to the cardstock and punched over the oval with the Heart punch.  For the Tail i used Gray Taffeta Ribbon.  I twisted the ribbon and frayed the end.  Also i crunched up all the Going Gray punched pieces and then flattened them back out and sponged them all with Basic Gray.

Large Oval and Heart Punches for Trunk of Elephant

Hope you like.. and thank you Heidi for the Circus Tutorial … : )

Today i thought i’d share with you a beautiful card my new friend Darlene sent me.  I thought i’d post Darlene’s card to let her know i received her money for the online class, thank you!   Also it’s such an honor to receive handmade cards in the mail!!  Besides Christmas time, I NEVER receive cards in the mail..ok maybe once or twice <thank you carrie.. you make me feel so special.. : ) >  i was ecstatic when i opened the envelope and saw Darlene’s card.  I can’t wait to post it on my board to show everyone at my upcoming workshops!  AND the best part is the card is blank inside so i can “reuse” it when i’m done showing it off!!  The words on the front say it all so i think this is a great idea!  Darlene you are so smart.. ; )

Thank you Darlene for the lovely card and i hope everyone enjoys it as well!

Darlene's Card

I love simple layouts and this one is such a gorgeous layout using only 2 colours.. WOW!  Darlene has used Crushed Curry and Whisper White Card Stock and inks, Modern Label and Scallop Edge Punches, Crushed Curry Ribbon and Autumn Days Stamp set.  She’s embossed the image using white embossing powder.

Well we are back from our final summer vacation.  We planned on being back Tuesday but ended up staying longer as the weather was GREAT and the rest was well needed.  I’m happy to say I’ll be blogging on a regular basis, well if you call 2 to 3 days a week regular??  Ethan is starting school next week along with his fall activities.  I will soon be working 2 to 3 days a week and on top of all that i have lots of stamping events planned for the next few months.  I’m crazy busy and have to ORGANIZE my life.  Can you believe i have to cut down on some “computer” time.. it’s going to be hard but i’ve committed myself to lots of classes, workshops and events these next few months so i have to keep my head down and keep those fingers crafting so i can get everything done without stressing…LOL.. oh i love the stress.. : )

For those of you in my stamp club we will be getting together September 10th and October 8th for monthly stamp club get together.  I will have further dates when i confirm my work days which should be confirmed shortly.  Anyone in my Downline will receive an email shortly with dates of our monthly get togethers!!

Here is a card i CASED from a friend.  I love checking out Carries blog .  I’ve signed up to her feedburner so i will be notified when she posts.  I thought i’d set myself up for feedburner as well since i will only be posting 2 or 3 days a week.  You can subscribe to my blog by clicking on the ”Get My Updates by Email!” on the top right hand side bar.  OR you can click on this link:  Subscribe to A Little Bit of Ink! by Email

Soccer Card

I used Night of Navy for the base of the card.  I rolled the Classic Stars jumbo wheel across the Kraft card stock with Night of Navy ink.  On Pumpkin Pie card stock i rubbed a Whisper White Star from the Anchored rub ons and punched it out with the large star punch.  I rubbed a black star rub on from Anchored on a piece of whisper white card stock and punched it out with the star punch, then sponged it with Night of Navy ink.   I used a retired soccer stamp set but we currently sell ”Just Soccer” which would work just as well.  The grass is from Inspired by Nature.   - Hope you like!   Thanks Carrie for the Inspiration!

Check out Carries card here.

Ok ladies the wait is finally over…i do apologize for the wait on posting the winner of  my up coming punch class.  The winner is Judy!  Congrats Judy!!  Here’s Judy’s post:

Oh, I LOVE this card and definitely cannot wait for your next punch art class to start!!  — Judy

Hey Everyone..

It’s been awhile since I’ve had some “computer” time. I can’t tell you enough how much i’m enjoying my summer. Since I have the whole summer off this year I really have to take advantage of every minute. I’m spending every minute with the kids. We are trying to do EVERYTHING we can in ONE day….then all of a sudden the week is over.. how does that happen..??!!

I can’t even get in my craft room as the temperature is rocket high!! As soon as I walk in the room sweat pours off me!! You know sweat can ruin ones project…LOL.. I’ve manage to take my convention swaps to the kitchen table to assemble but after the 3rd day I finally got the evil eye from hubby!!

The kids and I are really trying to hang out in the shade but there really isn’t much of that these days!! Ethan is totally obsessed with water balloon fights right now and Alyssa can’t stop crawling in and out of her teeny weenie pool. I really can’t believe how hot it is here!!

For today’s post i wanted to show you a quick and easy home decor project that can be created in 10 mins or less!!  I made this frame for my mom and really wish i had taken a better photo of it.   the plan was to create another for myself  but you know how that goes!!  …..so many other projects to create right…. : )

I first saw this frame done as a 8×10 (i think) at my uplines house.  Then i saw it on the SU demo website …but can’t remember where.  I just had to re-create it..!!  My frame is a 12×12 shadow box frame.  On the outside glass I used 3 of the 4 words that come in the Decor Elements Inspiration set.  I love how easy they are to use!!
